It is so hard for me to believe that this girl from Alabama has landed in such an amazing school in a simply dreamy town. In 1989, I began my journey as a teacher. In 1994, I began my journey as a military spouse. My family has moved 10 times in the last 25 years. My husband and I have settled in Southern Pines, and our only son is now serving in the Army. I’ve had the privilege of teaching in 3 different countries and 6 states and have worked with preschoolers to college students and several grade levels and specialty positions in between. I can honestly say that I’ve never worked in a school where there is such an emphasis on developing the whole child, and teachers are as enthusiastic and dedicated as they are here at EDS.
